1/14/2020, Windows 7 support ends
If you are one of the 40% of PC users still running Windows 7, time is running out. As of January 14, 2020, all free security updates will end, although Microsoft will offer a subscription plan for security updates for a short period of time. Without security updates, your PC will become vulnerable to viruses and other security risks. Once a PC vulnerability becomes known, agile, malevolent hackers quickly take advantage of the situation.

Will my current computer support Windows 10?
Some older computers will be more sluggish on Windows 10. So, this may be the moment to upgrade your hardware too. In fact, the average new computer today is faster, lighter, more powerful, and costs less than the average computer of eight years ago. Staying with Windows 7 will not only leave you vulnerable to attacks, but will also make you unable to upgrade to newer software, such as Office 2019 that won't run on Windows 7.
Continuing with Windows 7 is hard to defend in our current climate of alarming and persistent cyber attacks.
